Program Design
This program is designed to ensure your success. We put everything together for you, from the Kick-off to the last Virtual Instructor-Led Study Hall. Our blended Green Belt program is 4-6 months in length, and candidates have a total of 18 months from the date of enrollment to achieve certification. During that time, they have full access to the online content.
Blended Green Belt Program Details
Course length: Approx. 4-6 months
When the program begins, you are assigned an instructor (Master Black Belt) to be your primary contact regarding questions and certification requirements. As part of the program, you receive three hours of one-on-one-project coaching as needed. Each coaching session is scheduled in advance and must be at least 30 minutes.
Training is followed by an exam and verifying experience through one Green Belt project. Green Belt candidates begin their initial project in the early stages of the certification process. When all the requirements are complete, you will be awarded certification through MoreSteam.
Participants must have certification complete within 18 months.
Green Belt Project
Green Belt candidates begin their initial project at first kick off, incorporating their project throughout the learning process to build critical thinking skills and capability as a high-level problem solver. Green Belt projects are required to show mastery of several tools during throughout the course of their project. Here are some examples:
- Define: Project Charter, CTQC, Process Mapping
- Measure: MSA, Defects, SPC
- Analyze: DOE, Hypothesis Testing, FMEA, 5-Why
- Improve: Error-Proofing
- Control: Control Charts, 5-S, Standardized Work

4-Day Simulation-Based Workshop
During this time you will put all your process improvement skills to practice. Transform a process that does not meet customer expectations. Follow the end-to-end journey of defining the problem, collecting data, and implementing process changes to meet your target goals. This in-person workshop is held in Columbus, Ohio.
The Green Belt process felt daunting at the beginning but I was able to balance work, family and MoreSteam curriculum and project and came into the sim-week with a fair level of confidence.
